Food hunt

This fantastic local place, has served fish and chips for all my life (& more). Terrific young man serving fat old fashioned potato cakes. Meat size servings and some outstanding Middle Eastern take aways. The beef shawarma has delicious wagyu in it. He also has these yummy corn fritters. Haven’t tried the morning menu yet but apparently the beef wagyu roll brilliant.

Came in for burgers but left seriously considering a long-term relationship with their fish and chips. The fish was so fresh, lightly battered and the burger? Let’s just say it didn’t last long enough for a proper photo - RIP, delicious friend. Everything was cooked fresh and full of flavour, with just the right amount of “I need a nap after this” satisfaction. The owner? Absolute legend. Friendly, welcoming. Felt less like a customer and more like a regular, even though it was my first visit. If you’re hungry, indecisive between fish or burger, or just need a tasty reason to procrastinate your diet, this place delivers. 10/10, would eat my bodyweight in chips here again.

Pretty damn good to have some inexpensive, quality food within walking distance, it was due to happen on Dumfries street that a proper food joint had popped up, Everything was on point, Potato Rosti is amazing, crunchy and is made of real potato not that starch flour crap. Their burgers are absolutely stacked and can make a big appetite eater like myself full. We will be returning to try the rest of your menu, Thank you Ali for your hospitality.

As a customer, I can confidently say that Food Hunt is hands down the BEST food spot in Deer Park. I’ve tried it all – dine-in, takeaway, and even Uber Eats – and every single time the food has been consistently amazing. Their fish and chips are golden and crispy with proper tartar sauce and lemon, and the burgers are packed with flavour – juicy beef, crispy chicken, and the wagyu steak burger is next level. You can really tell everything is made fresh, never frozen or rushed. The combo meals are generous and great value – perfect when you're hungry or feeding the family. This time, I also tried the corn rib special and it was an absolute winner – crispy, tangy, and so addictive. And the best part? It’s all 100% halal, cooked in clean vegetable oil, with no animal fat or shortcuts. The food is always fresh and handmade, Uber Eats orders are just as good as eating in-store, the dine-in space is spotless with great ambiance, and the vibe is real – wagyu, shawarma, seafood, dim sims – all done right. The staff are super friendly, service is quick, and the value is unbeatable. An absolute local gem.

Ordered the Wagyu Beef Burger and it was one of the best burger I’ve tasted. The owner and ataff are very kind and approachable. Definitely recommendable!

Picked up food from Food Hunt Deer Park and had a great experience. The owner, Ali, and his team were super friendly and provided excellent customer service. The food is Halal, reasonably priced, nicely presented, and really tasty. We ordered dim sims, fish and chips, and wagyu beef skewers — all of it super delicious, but the wagyu beef was definitely my favourite. The portion sizes were generous, and my whole family enjoyed the meal. The drive to get there was absolutely worth it. You can tell they really care about what they do. I wish Ali and his team continued success and the strength to keep growing — you're on the right path. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending Food Hunt to others!

Today I went their with ny friends and tried their many items such as Crispy Chicken Burger, Beef Waghyu Shawarma, Fish for 2 and a Crab Burger. Everything was perfect, delicious and Halal. Must give it a try.
